Travel
Conference venue (Bernardin) lies about 130 km southwest of Ljubljana, capitol of Slovenia. It is within 60 min drive and in flying range of 1h30min from EU main capitals. You can travel to Slovenia by air to the central Jože Pučnik International Airport or to any of the airports in the neighbouring countries (Austria-Vienna, Italy-Venice, Croatia-Zagreb) and using shuttle transport. It takes 2 hours to fly from London to Ljubljana and only 1 hour from Munich or Vienna.
Air Connections
In addition to the daily flights to many European cities (Munich, Frankfurt, Brussel, Moscow, Vienna, Zurich) and 3-5 flights per week connecting Amsterdam, London and Paris, there are two low-cost flight providers flying from the main Slovenian international airport Jože Pučnik Ljubljana. They are EasyJet and Wizz Air, flying to London and Brussels. You can also fly to one of the foreign airports in the near vicinity, and access Slovenia from there by bus, train or rental car. The service of transfers from the nearby airports to Slovenia is also offered by the low-cost carriers, such as GoOpti (
www.goopti.com) and various other carriers. Within Slovenia, it is not reasonable to travel by air, since the distances are too short.
